The Cowser Cow: "Delight"

Welcome to the Wilson Dairy Farm MD of Freeland, MD

The home farm operation was established in 1921 in Parkton, MD where the Wilson Family milked 200 registered Holstein cows until 2016. In 2021, the family battled legal ownership disputes with estranged family members, leading to the 2024 procurement of a new farm where Haley is rebuilding the operation as her own. While working full time off the farm, she has established a self-serve farm stand, purchased chickens, grown produce, made hay and brought home her 15 dairy heifers. The 15 milk cows are stilled housed at other Baltimore County Dairy Farms for now.

The new farm is currently under construction, building a new dairy parlor in place of the original tie-stall barn layout. The parlor will provide a location for Haley to milk her existing 15 milk cows as well as the opportunity to expand her herd. Moving home from her full time job to officially earn the title as self employed and "Dairy Farmer".

The property borders Pennsylvania, making it the most northern Dairy farm in Baltimore County. Consumers from both York and Baltimore counties frequent the farm stand for eggs, hanging Baskets, wood bundles, straw, honey, sourdough, and more. Haley recently traveled to Camden Yards with one of her Holstein cows, Delight, to assist the Baltimore Orioles in a promotional event surrounding Colton Cowser. (See photo above) While agritourism is not part of her long term business plan, Haley often enjoys visiting local events such as the MD State Fair, Hereford Fall Festival and Baltimore Ag Center to share her animals and knowledge with the public.
